Madison Kelly

Madison Kelly is a senior at East Hampton High School in New York and is enrolled in the Advanced Science Research program affiliated with the University at Albany. She is interested in how auditory processing, noise exposure, and individual differences can affect one’s background noise tolerance and, in turn, influence people’s experiences and responses to sound. Through her research, she has been working with data from Dr. Skoe’s prior research and exploring the complex relationships between personal attributes, communication in background noise, and auditory measures such as the Acceptable Noise Level (ANL). Madison is very excited to continue developing her research skills with Dr. Skoe and her lab, as well as to learn more about auditory processing and the various paradigms associated with it.
